Lt. General (R) Hassan Azhar Hayat Khan

Hayat Khan is a former Pakistan Army officer, commissioned in the Guides Infantry through the 78th PMA Long Course in 1988, hailing from Wah, Pakistan. He held senior posts including Military Secretary at GHQ and General Officer Commanding of the 7th Infantry Division, before being promoted to Lieutenant General and appointed Commander of the XI Corps in Peshawar in August 2022, a post he held until 2024.
During his tenure he oversaw counterterrorism efforts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa amid a difficult security environment, retiring with the Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military) award.
Since 16 December 2025, he has served as Managing Director of Pakistan's Land Port Authority
